Updates
1/14/2025: Included advisory that states most compatibilities with IV fluids are unlisted, meaning, not sufficient evidence to say if compatibility is not existent, conditional, or confirmed. Prompt pops up suggesting seek further consultation.
Known Issues
Small infusion groups do not group efficiently in Separated Mode.
A known limitation with Separated Mode occurs in cases involving a smaller number of infusions. For example, when working with Vasopressin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Potassium Phosphates, the algorithm may produce suboptimal groupings by isolating Vasopressin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Potassium Phosphates. Ideally, the algorithm would pair Vasopressin with either Magnesium Sulfate or Potassium Phosphates to minimize the number of groups while ensuring compatibility. This issue arises because the algorithm prioritizes safety and strict separation of incompatible medications, even when the infusion set is small and could be organized more efficiently. However, for setups with only a few infusions, the app’s full potential may not be realized, as manual grouping is more feasible and straightforward in these cases. The app is designed to shine in more complex scenarios with numerous infusions, where manually ensuring safe and efficient groupings becomes significantly more challenging. Efforts are ongoing to refine the algorithm for better optimization, even in smaller cases. For now, users with smaller setups may wish to review the suggestions and manually adjust groupings for maximum efficiency.

Known Issues
Discrepancy about information related to IV fluids.
Many IV fluids are, for the most part, treated as “incompatible.” This is because the data was identified as unlisted. However, unlisted does not necessarily mean incompatible. This will require a complete overview.
